What's new in v6
Suno announced the v6 generation on September 9, 2026 as a family of three music models developed with industry partners. Suno describes the generation as faster, more expressive, and higher quality, with a better grasp of the language and building blocks musicians use. It also says previous models will be retired as the rollout moves Suno onto the v6 generation.

Partnerships & safeguards
Suno names Warner Music Group, BMG, and Believe as partners for the v6 generation. Its announcement also describes safeguards that screen uploaded audio and lyrics for unauthorized use and aim to make AI use in music more transparent. It does not list specific catalogs or guarantee that every possible source is cleared for reuse.
How to choose a V6 model
Read the three models as different starting points for the same creative loop, rather than as a simple quality leaderboard. Suno's positioning is about control, exploration, and speed; your best choice depends on whether the next step is to lock a direction, find a direction, or get a rough idea audible quickly.

Voices
Voices creates a verified profile from a recording of your own voice. Suno compares a spoken verification phrase with the uploaded source before the profile can be used.

Suno Studio 2.0
Studio 2.0 is Suno's browser-based generative audio workstation for arranging audio and MIDI on a multitrack timeline.

Remix and creation operations
Remix / Edit
Suno uses Remix as an umbrella for operations such as Cover, Extend, Adjust Speed, Use Styles and Lyrics, Crop, and Replace Section.
Extend
Use Extend to continue a song or replace its ending while preserving an earlier portion of the source.
Add Vocals
Use Add Vocals on an uploaded or generated instrumental when the missing layer is a vocal based on lyrics you provide.
ReMi lyrics model
ReMi is Suno's optional lyric-generation model in Custom mode. Treat it as a drafting tool: review rhyme, syllable density, meaning, and pronunciation before using the text in a song.
